East Great Plain fire department was dispatched at 9:43 PM to 9 Bushnell Place for a house fire. First arriving fire personel reported heavy fire. East Great Plain fire requested 2nd alarm at 10:43 pm. East Great Plain fire requested full assignment from Yantic fire department, Mohegan Tribe fast team, City of Norwich Engine 3 for a fast team, engine Mohegan fire department, hose tender from Laurel Hill fire department, Bozrah fire department to cover Yantic fire department Laurel Hill fire to cover East Great Plain fire, and American Rehab unit. There were no injuries reported. The fire was under control a little after 11pm. The house was unoccupied. The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation.
